Independent proof that a photo existed at a specific moment.
Upload the photo you received. We compute its SHA-256 in your browser (the photo never leaves your device) and compare against the registered hash.
A Trustamp witness is a tamper-evident record showing that a specific photo existed at a specific moment. The original photo never leaves the user's device — only a cryptographic SHA-256 hash of the photo bytes is registered with Trustamp's server, along with timestamp, GPS, and device info.
The check above computes SHA-256 entirely in your browser via the Web Crypto API. The photo bytes are never sent to any server. A match proves byte-for-byte identity with what was registered at the time shown.
⚠️ Important: messaging apps (WhatsApp, Telegram, WeChat, social media) usually re-compress JPEGs on upload — the bytes change and the hash will not match, even though the image looks identical. To verify, use the original file shared via AirDrop, email attachment, cloud storage, or USB transfer.
