Independent proof of when and where a photo was registered.
A Trustamp witness is a server-anchored record that a photo's time and location were registered with Trustamp. The witness code shown on the photo is issued by Trustamp's server before the photo is taken, and the capture details are committed to the server afterward.
These two server timestamps form a window the device cannot forge. Because the code is server-issued, the photo cannot predate the “Code issued” time — a tamper-proof lower bound that defeats back-dating. The capture time and GPS are as reported by the capturing device.
